sFOCUS introduction to umpiring (25.3.2012)

On Sunday 25th March 2012 the Swiss Federation Of Cricket Umpires & Scorers (swissFOCUS) plan to run an Introduction to Umpiring Course at the Centre sportif des Vernets (Conference room N° 3, Rue Hans-Wilsdorf 4, 1227 Les Acacias, Geneva) beginning at 12pm and will run for approximately 4 hours.

The course costs CHF50 per participant which will include course handouts, refreshments during the course and 2012 swissFOCUS membership.

There are no pre-requisites for this course, but experience in having played, or at least watched, cricket is very advantageous and English to an intermediate level is a necessity.

There is a short multiple choice examination at the end of the course and successful participants will be qualified to umpire at all Swiss domestic league, cup and turnament fixtures. This course is also good preparation for the ECB ACO Level One Umpiring Course.
