Cricket On Ice 2012 tournament report
Swiss Cricket's Winterthur Cricket Club claimed the 2012 Cricket On Ice trophy with three wins from three games at the 30th St. Moritz Cricket On Ice tournament (16.-18.2.2012).
The tournament, which lasted three days, was played in glorious sunshine, very occasionally accompanied by the cold breeze, but all five matches between the teams from England & Switzerland exemplified the Cricket On Ice friendly spirit.
It also attracted hundreds of spectators over the three days who were delighted by some moments of cricketing magic in the field, some superb individual
performances with the bat & with the ball, and on Saturday treated to the magnificent sounds of a lone piper playing tunes such as Scotland the Brave, Mull of Kintyre & Auld Lang
Syne.
